I know a lot of readers here are fond of Taz..
I have a bit of sad news.
He didn’t make it into the mid – year intake at Monash University for the Engineering course. Apparently one of the practical assessments was to retrieve a tennis ball from under a sofa. And. Well. He just had a melt-down. He couldn’t do it. Such a disappointment to him. He’d been studying for months.
All this in the same week he got his knock-back for Wimbledon as well.
He’s decided to take an English as a Second Language course at the local TAFE.
Let’s hope he can stick to that and get the light back in his eyes..

That’s OK Taz. I still like you no matter what’s on your CV!

Ah, it’s his short legs that did him in… maybe get him in under a track and field scholarship next time?

Hang in there Taz..when you aim high there are bound to be setbacks from time to time. Know we’re all rooting for ya.

Remember, we often learn more from our setbacks than we do from our accomplishments. It will come.

Oh. Hahahahhaha. This was too funny. I’m home schooling Bart, I find he doesn’t have enough awareness of social boundaries to unleash him on the general population just yet.
Maybe Taz will teach him a few things eh/?!!

Thanks all for your well wishes and support.. I will pass them on.
[John took this photo a couple of weeks after we first rescued Taz.. looking back on them I am amazed at how underweight he was! He's never gonna need to be on a diet - but he's definitely healthier looking now.]

My border terrier ‘Tilly’ would have to be the dunce of the class when it comes to balls, roads, comprehension, and many other life skills. But we love her dearly. Maybe she has met Taz at the park he does look a bit familiar. Prince’s Park

Why is Taz wearing a bulletproof vest? Is australia such a tough hood for the canine crew?

I thought he was more an arts orientated dog, maybe something like philosophy would suit him more? Keep plugging away with the applications, goodness knows some uni accepted me eventually so I’m sure there’s hope for him.

Mark.. umm.. in Fitzroy? Yes. We used to go there a lot! Sounds like Taz and Tilly may share a brain..
Does she also need to check the perimeters in the morning to see what atrocities the cat from across the road may have committed in the night?
I swear.. the street I live on is like the Gaza Strip.
JG.. laughing at your comment..
The picture was taken while he was the stunt double for Bruce Willis in Die Hard 9..

Lill..
I’ll let him know.. that is encouraging, yes. If you can do it – then so can the dog.

Yes we take ages to get from the front gate to the park. I think she is checking out all the ‘peemail’ the male dogs are leaving for her. I have noticed she likes telecom covers on the pavements, she usually pees on them. My theory is that the material they are made from is more absorbent than the tarmac, so holds the aroma longer. Discuss.

umm.. Mark.. I’d rather not discuss wee absorption..
How in the bloody hell did you find this blog? Is it just a fluke that you recognised Taz?

I’m not sure how I came across this blog. That’s the internet for you. As to recognising Taz, again not sure. But you know how in the park we are not known by our names but by our dogs names.
I agree re the pee discussions very boring.
